"ALL THAT JAZZ"
Walnut Hills was...all that Jazz and more on Saturday, February 26th at the Rockdale Temple. Approximately 450 people attended the event, which raised over $20,000 for the school.
The evening began with dinner parties held at 20 different homes around town. They were a huge success with rave reviews from all attendees. Then it was on to the Temple for the festivities.
This major school fundraiser included entertainment for everyone from the hot jazz of the jazz ensemble, jazz vocal and steel drum band to the cool moves of the spectacular dance team. The raffle featured fabulous prizes such as a 20" LCD television, an ipod, and an Xbox. In defiance of all the odds, Allison Hung won both the first and third place prizes. The second prize, the ipod, was won by Lynn Rosenberg Olman '72. Guests had a wonderful time bidding on the sensational items at the Silent Auction. The auction had a wide variety of items from gift certificates to creative gift baskets donated by parents, alumni, faculty and local businesses.
The proceeds benefited the Athletic, Music and Academic Departments.
